34% of partners said they built patience. In the context of this work, patience is not a soft virtue. It is a practical tool. When a customer is not ready to decide, when documents are delayed, when a task verification takes longer than expected, patience is what keeps you working instead of walking away. That is a professional skill with a direct impact on earnings.

27% reported developing leadership skills. At first glance this seems unlikely in a solo gig role. The Problem: These Skills Are Invisible on Paper

Here is the uncomfortable truth. A year of gig work that builds your communication, patience, leadership, and confidence does not look like much on a resume. There is no institution to name. No certificate to attach. No grade to report.

India’s Recognition of Prior Learning programme under the Skill India Mission was designed specifically to address this — to formalise the skills of workers who built them informally.
